What are the Programme goals?

The targets for both the child and parenting programmes are to reduce risk factors and increase protective factors.

This means that the short-term goals of the programme are:-

better behaviour, emotional control and social competance for children

improved interactions, and improved parenting/mentoring and conduct modelling skills in parents/carers.

Cumulatively, improvements in these areas lead to long-term benefits such as increased school attendance and achievement, and reduced anti-social, harmful or criminal behaviour.
